t would be difficult to find a more outstanding example of the chrysoberyl species than this fine alexandrite. Fashioned as an old-mine style cushion-cut it weighs approximately 3.14 carats and exhibts the highest degree of color change from green to red. Surrounded by small brilliant-cut diamonds, the shoulders are also accented with small diamonds, weighing a total of 0.38 carats. A fine stone for the most discerning collector of precious and rare gems, mounted in 18k rose gold and platinum, size 6.
Accompanied by a GRS (Gem Research Swisslab) report No. GRS2006-050037T dated May 4th 2006 stating that the natural alexandrite exhibits a prominent color change from green under daylight to purple-red under incandescent light.
