Lot 1039 Ruby and Diamond Necklace and Pair of Matching Pendent Earrings

The necklace set with two oval and five cushion-shaped rubies together weighing 22.57 carats, surrounded by circular-cut diamonds to marquise-shaped diamond spacers, completed by smaller similarly-cut diamonds towards the back; the earrings en suite, the two oval rubies each weighing 3.27 and 3.09 carats; altogether the diamonds weighing approximately 24.80 carats, mounted in 18 karat yellow and white gold. (2) Necklace length approximately 400mm.

Accompanied by two GRS reports numbers GRS2004-040551 and GRS2004-040556, dated 7 April 2004, stating that all nine rubies are natural, of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indication of thermal treatment. Appendix to report numbered GRS2004-040551 , stating that five out of seven rubies on the necklace are vivid red colour, GRS type "Pigeon's Blood"
