New Color-Descriptions for Rubies and Sapphires on GRS Reports: Kashmir-Blue and Magnificent-Red.

We are announcing the use of new color-descriptions:

Velvet cornflower is described as GRS-type “Kashmir-Blue”. Reports with this color designation must have an origin (mostly: Sri Lanka, Madagascar or Kashmir). This color designation indicates that the color matches those of the most beautiful Kashmir sapphires which typically have cornflower colors (according to the opinion of the laboratory), see sample report.

Rubies from Winza (Tanzania) which have vibrant color in combination with excellent brilliancy and transparency will be described as GRS-type “Magnificent Red”. These colors are considered as the most beautiful red colors of the new Winza (-Tanzanian) ruby mine (according to the opinion of the laboratory), see sample report.
Please note that the origin notation includes the mine name: Winza (Tanzania).
